He addressed the participants at the inauguration of newly constructed college building of UAF run Laboratory Girls High School and College System. He was flanked by Principal Schools Prof Dr Khalil-ur-Rehman, progressive farmer Manzoor Thakar, Principal School Shehla Hammad and other notables. He stressed upon the need for stepped up efforts on the part of government, civil society, and general public. He said no nation can make the progress without the quality education. He said that committed, skilled and trained manpower is the guarantee of a bright future that will help meet the challenges of the modern era. He said that progress of countries is being determined by their number of brilliant students pursuing higher education. Only the knowledge economies are going to be successful in future. He lauded the steps being taken on the part of Punjab Government for promotion of education. He said the provision of quality education among the deprived section of society is imperative to face up to different challenges such as poverty confronting the country. The UAF was making all out efforts to ensure the quality education by providing modern facilities to the students. He said that the UAF run Laboratory Schools system was being expanded to other sub-campuses that will help provide quality education to the dwellers at their doorstep. He said that country was blessed with the tremendous talent which can be taped by providing them opportunities to flourish. Earlier, Progressive farmer Manzoor Thakkar said that girls are outshining the boys in education. He said that we have to take the measures to increase the literacy rate especially in girls as in the deprived segment of society, they are being denied from their right of education. Principal Laboratory School System Dr Khalil-ur-Rehman said that the university was making all-out efforts to promote the quality education. He said that from the last many years, the school is gaining the one of top position in the board exams. He said that recently, a school student Faiqa has topped in 8th grade examination in the district. Principal Laboratory Girls High School Shehla Hammad said that the school has earmarked a one hour after school hour for the parents so that they can hold the meeting with teachers and can improve the education. She said that the quality education would pave a wat for the a bright country.
