The University of Agriculture Faisalabad has established pharmacy block with the cost of Rs 39.4 million at the main campus in order to provide the modern facilities to the students. The building was inaugurated by UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan.

The University of Agriculture Faisalabad has established pharmacy block with the cost of Rs 39.4 million at the main campus in order to provide the modern facilities to the students. The building was inaugurated by UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan. The block comprises 5 lectures rooms, 5 laboratories, 6 research labs, chemical store and library. Faculty of Veterinary Sciences Dean Dr Ahrar Khan, Faculty of Agri Engineering Dean Dr Allah Buksh, Principal Officer PRP Dr Jalal Arif, Dr Farooq Azam, Dr Faqeer Muhammad, Dr Zafar Irbal Qureshi, Dr Asif Mehmood, and other notables were present on the occasion. Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan said that secret of the development of any county is in quality education and trained manpower which are imperative to alleviate poverty. He said that the university was making all-possible measures to produce trained manpower that will help the country to cope with the different challenges. He urged the researchers to work jointly to solve the problems of the stakeholders, industry and farming community. With the funding of Punjab Government the country largest hostel for 1000 girls has been set up. He said that we have set up working women hostel, Day Care Center, five hostels at Postgraduate Agriculture Research Station and many others. He also said UAF has revamped academic, research and outreach programs and has introduced as many as 49 new Degree Programs in the recent years in order to produce demand-driven manpower. New academic disciplines have been added to narrow the knowledge gaps in energy sector, food industry, microbiology, biotechnology, environmental sciences, food and nutrition, climate change, pharmacy, IT sector, rural development and education.
