A massive fruit tree planting campaign is underway at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad and this year as many as 25000 saplings will be planted in the campus. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Asif Tanveer said this while planting a sapling. He said by increasing the planting area we can help address the issue of climate changes .

It will also help provision of abundant supply of oxygen but also cope with increasing the risk of malnutrition in the form of fruit trees. He said that more and more pomegranate, mango, guava, and citrus trees were being planted in the university so that a large quantity of fruit could be obtained from the fruit trees as well as a reduction in temperature. Speaking on the occasion, Principal Officer, State Management, Prof. Javed Akhtar said that wherever vacant land is available in the University it is being converted into green area while the main campus square is adorned with beautiful flowers and beauties.. He said the process would be extended to the entire campus. Prof. Dr. Mohammad Jalal Arif said that with the help of philanthropists, cold water plants are being installed at various places of the university where students are more present while a hill will be constructed at the back of Haley Hall. . Briefing on the occasion, Dr. Adnan Younis of State Management said that landscaping is being done to equip various spots of the university with new innovations.
