An engineering exhibition in connection with 15-year celebration of Higher Education Commission was organized by the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering & Technology to felicitate and pay thanks for provision of huge funding under technology development fund program of the Higher Education Commission.

An engineering exhibition in connection with 15-year celebration of Higher Education Commission was organized by the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering & Technology to felicitate and pay thanks for provision of huge funding under technology development fund program of the Higher Education Commission. University of Agriculture, Faisalabad Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Zafar was the chief guest on the occasion. While inspecting the engineering exhibition with Dean of the faculty Prof. Dr. Allah Bakhash, Chairman Department of Food Engineering Dr. Muhammad Azam Khan, Chairman Department of Environmental and Structural Engineering Dr. Nasir Awan, and Chairman Energy System Engineering Dr. Anjum Munir, the Vice Chancellor emphasized the need to design new technology or make reverse engineering of the technology already exists in the market with the limited resources and easy to operate with multiple advantages. He urged the young engineers to come up with cheap and smart technology thereby to facilitate the small businessmen and entrepreneurs. He was of the view that technology always played a pivotal role in transforming the societies as a new idea can change the whole lifestyle of the society. Dr. M. Iqbal Zafar said that today we have plenty of new knowledge but there is need to translate the knowledge in goods and services and make the lives easier. Penicillin, he said was hailed as a miracle drug that saved countless lives in World War-II. He said in the today’s world, android mobile and emergence of social media has touched nearly every facet of our personal and business lives and now has transformed the communication and information network of the world. He urged the engineers to work hard and come up with such a technology that can put a long lasting impact on the society and the industry as well. He felicitated the leadership of Higher Education Commission and vowed to make the education and technology relevant to the society thereby to bring tangible impact on the society. Later, the Vice Chancellor along with Deans, Chairmen of the teaching departments, faculty members and students led a walk to pay thanks to HEC for its enormous contributions for putting the higher education sector of the country on the world redar that helped the universities to get rankings in almost all the ranking systems of the world.
