The University of Agriculture Faisalabad arranged a seminar on teaching and sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A) on Wednesday at Iqbal Auditorium. The seminar arranged by Senior Tutor Office was chaired by UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Iqbal Zafar while former vice chancellor Mohyuddin University Azad Kashmir Dr Muhammad Ishaq Qureshi was the key speaker.

The seminar arranged by Senior Tutor Office was chaired by UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Iqbal Zafar while former vice chancellor Mohyuddin University Azad Kashmir Dr Muhammad Ishaq Qureshi was the key speaker. Dr Muhammad Ishaq Qureshi said the day of Ashura reminds us of supreme sacrifices of the martyrs of Karbala. He said that Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A) preferred sacrificing his life instead of bowing before oppression. It gives us a message to sacrifice life to achieve the higher goal. He said that safeguarding the truth was superior to protection of one’s own life. He said the best way to present tributes to Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and martyrs of Karbala, was to follow his teachings. He said that the sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S) give us a lesson of patience, scarifies and tolerance. Dr Muhammad Iqbal Zafar said that such a sacrifice and steadfastness by Hazrat Hussain (RA) was unmatched in the history of the world and his message was a guiding principle for humanity. He said that Islam teaches us to fight against the falseness. He also stressed upon the need to spend the lives as per golden principles of Islam. He said that we have to sacrifice our attitude, and arrogance for becoming a good Muslim and human. He said that self accountability must be done in our lives for a better tomorrow. Senior Tutor Dr Athar Javed and Dr Tahir Siddique also spoke.
