The Department of Entomology University of Agriculture Faisalabad arranged a sport gala in connection with Higher Education Commission 15 Years of Excellence. Cricket, football, badminton, and athletics were held. The sports gala concluded on Saturday. In the cricket, BSc 7 semester won against MSc 1st semester in the final match.

The Department of Entomology University of Agriculture Faisalabad arranged a sport gala in connection with Higher Education Commission 15 Years of Excellence. Cricket, football, badminton, and athletics were held. The sports gala concluded on Saturday. In the cricket, BSc 7 semester won against MSc 1st semester in the final match. In the football, BSc 5th semester won against MSc 3rd semester. In the badminton, Arslan defeated Abu Bakar whereas in the tug of war, MSc 3rd defeated BSc 5th. In the athletics 100 metre race, Raza Iqbal got the first, Awais Qamar stood 2nd, and Rana Muhammad Umar got third position. In the athletic 400 meter, Awais Qamar First, Rana Umar second and Muhammad Ali got 3rd position. Talking to participants, Department of Entomology Chairman Dr Muhammad Jalal Arif said that university was making all out efforts to provide the state-of-the-art facilities to the students. He said that such healthy sports activities will help in promoting the sports culture. He said that the country was blessed with tremendous talents. He said that state-of-the-art sport gymnasium, scotch hall, Olympic size swimming poll facilities are being added in the campus. He said that the sport activities in the country were showing a declining trend among the youth that is a matter of concern.
