Renowned religious scholar Maulana Tariq Jameel on Thursday urged the nation to promote truthfulness, honesty, forgiveness and to curb the ruthless attitude from the society in line with teachings of Quran and Sunnah.

Renowned religious scholar Maulana Tariq Jameel on Thursday urged the nation to promote truthfulness, honesty, forgiveness and to curb the ruthless attitude from the society in line with teachings of Quran and Sunnah. He addressed at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad's Central Mosque at a public lecture arranged by Qiraat and Naat Club Senior Tutor Office, UAF. He called for setting aside differences made on the name of sect, race, politics and bilingual division etc. He said that the country was running through difficult times due to non-implantation of golden principles of Islam in individual lives. He added that atmosphere of interest (soud), ruthless, ignorance of Islamic guidance just for little benefits, telling lies, cheating others and not fulfill the promise have become common in ones lives. He lamented that instead of following Quran and Sunnah, worship of wealth, power, respects and money had taken roots in the society and we had minimized tawakul on Allah Subhanhotallah. He said that it has become common to tell lies in our society which is not only aggravating social problems but also summing up our sins. He stressed upon students to give due respects to their parents, relatives, and teachers. He said that if we are doing our duties in the office with honestly, it is also worship. He urged the people to offer prayer five times a day for getting Nijat at the Day of Judgment. He rooted out concept that increasing population is adding up to our problems. “The increasing population is not the issue. The problems are deviation from the religion and deterioration in our moral values and characters”. We should always concentrate about attaining the goal of getting success in the life after death that would last forever. He said that by adopting the real sense of Quran and following the sayings of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), we will progress rapidly. Talking about brotherhood, he called for flourishing the culture of love and brotherhood in the society right from the homes, offices and other places. He said that life of last and final prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) is the practical example of holy Quran and give us complete guideline in every sphere of life. He urged the Muslims to be unified and repent for their sins. If we follow in the footprint of last and final messenger Hazrat Muhammad ( Peace Be Upon Him), we will able to get respect and Nijat at the Day of Judgment and in the world. He said we should apology from Allah Subhanhotallah for our sins. And we should spend the lives as per injections of Islam. UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Iqbal Zafar, Senior Tutor Dr Athar Javed, Dr Tahir Siddique, and tens of hundreds of students participated.
