The University of Agriculture Faisalabad has produced five more PhDs, totaling the number 1,610.

The University of Agriculture Faisalabad has produced five more PhDs, totaling the number 1,610. As per details, the five scholars including Zahida Kousar D/o Altaf ur Rahman from National Institute of Food Science and Technology; Umair Talib s/o Talib Hussain from Institute of Agricultural Extension and Rural Development; Hafiz Basheer Ahmad s/o Easa Khan from Department of Plant Breeding and Genetics;Muhammad Awais Khalid s/o Khalid Javaid from Institute of Soil and Environmental Sciences and Sobia Noor d/o Noor Muhammad from Institute of Soil and Environmental Sciences have passed their final examination for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (2017). The titles of their theses are “Optimization of processing parameters for camel milk cheese production”, “Comparative effectiveness of public and private extension services in capacity building of rice growers in the Punjab: A case study of District Gujranwala”, “Genetic variability and inheritance pattern of seed yield and oil quality contributing traits in Brassica campestris L.”, “Effect of controlled release of nitrogen from polymer coated nitrogenous fertilizers on nitrogen use efficiency and crop production”, and “Effectiveness of Polymer coated phosphatic fertilizers for improving phosphorus use efficiency and crop production in calcareous soil” respectively.
