Counsel General of China in Lahore Yu Boren on Monday called for further enhancing win-win Pak-China cooperation and friendly exchange in the different field. He was addressing at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad at the event held to celebrate the 65 years of Pak- China diplomatic relations at the Iqbal Auditorium. He said that 2015 was the harvest year of the China- Pak ties and termed its a milestone in the history of the relations. He said that in April, the both countries singed the China Pakistan Economic Corridor that would bring the prosperity Tand further enhance the ties. He said that the win-win cooperation has proceeded in an all round way. He said that in Punjab, the Bahawalpur Solar Power Plant, Sahiwal coal-fired power plant and a lot of other important projects are being carried out with a large pace. He hoped that more and more enterprises come to visit the Punjab for investment. He said that a large quality of education institutions set up to facilitate the study of Chinese language and culture. He said that his country had established first Confucius Institution (CI) in Punjab at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad. The CI, he added, has received 240 students with zero basis to learn the Chinese. He added that CI-UAF had also set up Chinese cooking classes. He said in 2015, China economic and social development had made new remarkable achievement as its economic growth to lead the world. Reforms in different sectors including judicial system and fight against corruption had been carried out deeply. Dean Faculty of Social Sciences Prof Dr Iqbal Zafar said China-Pakistan were enjoying deepened and time-tested relations based on brotherhood. He said that the Chinese product were also in high demands in Pakistan. He said the China helps Pakistan in economic, trade, infrastructure and many other fronts. He said that six Chinese language courses had been completed at the CI-UAF. He said that UAF believes in knowledge diversification and 20 UAF faculty members had completed their PhDs from China and several are perusing their degrees there. Chinese Cultural Attaché in Islamabad Zheng Guojin said that the cultural ties between the both countries were further strengthening. He said that CI are being established in the different institutions that will help cement the cultural ties. In the event, the students presented the folks song and dance of the both countries in which people from four corner of city thronged the varsity to have the delight.
