The tent pegging staged at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad has concluded which is a part of ongoing UAF spring festival. The tent pegging was held at UAF tentpegging grounds in which 1000 horses across the country took part.

The tent pegging staged at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad has concluded which is a part of ongoing UAF spring festival. The tent pegging was held at UAF tentpegging grounds in which 1000 horses across the country took part. UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan was chief guest on the prize distribution ceremony.In the single tent pegging, Mehar Altaf Hussain from Muhammad Haidery Riding Club Faisalabad got the first position. Second prize was won by Malik Mansub Ali form Zaldar Nezabaz Club whereas Ch Shahbaz Akhtar form Khan Akram Khan Club Haripur got the third prize. In the section tent pegging, Shah Anees Club Chiniot bagged the first prize while Sultania Shaheen Club Khushab got the second and Ghousia Club Jhang got the third prize. The single and team riders enthralled the audience by waving spears to collect the wooden peg amid clouds of dust rising from the grounds. The riders were hanging halfway down while galloping with high speed to lift the piece of wood with spear. The tent pegging is being played at national level in the many countries.
