Like other part of the country, the Pakistan Day was observed at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad with the traditional zeal and enthusiasm.The day dawned with the prayers for the development and uplift of the country. Many programmes including naat and qirat, milinagma, and speech contests were arranged under the banner of Senior Tutor Office. The Hall Warden Office also arranged the different decoration and others contests among the 26 hostels of the varsity. Talking to participants, UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan said that the country was achieved after the great sacrifices, Now it is our duty to move the country towards the development and prosperity. He stressed upon the all segments of the society to play their active role for the uplift of the county so that poverty can be alleviated and the targets of developments could be achieved. He said that on the day, Muslim of the subcontinents pledged to create a new homeland for the Muslims under the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam and only in seven years, the country emerged on the map of the world. He also urged the youth to understand the message of Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal and to spend the life as per his sayings. Senior Tutor Dr Athar Javed urged the students to take all possible steps for the development and prosperity of the country. He said that the education is the best tool to steer the country out from the clutches of different challenges. He urged the students to pledge for the uplift of the country and for the mankind. Hall Warden Dr Amjad Aulak said that the country was having the tremendous talents. There is the need to refurbish their God-given abilities so that the we can make the development with the tools of education, and skilled manpower . He urged the student to spend their life as per saying of Quaid-e-Azam Allama Iqbal. He urged them to work with devotion, enthusiasm and hardworking.
