The drive was launched on the direction of government in collaboration with Higher Education Commission. It is aimed at ensuring school enrollment at 100 percent The training session was arranged by the Senior Tutor Office which was chaired by UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan. Director Institute of Agri Extension Prof Dr Tanvir Ali, Senior Tutor Dr Athar Javed, Strategy and Planning Director Saeed Feroz, Dr Khalil-ur-Rehman, Rabia Fareedi and other notable also spoke on the occasion. Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan said that 2.5 crore people in the country aged between 5 to 16 were not attending the school and now it is our duty to give them the light of education. He said that the education was the only way to make progress and to compete with the rest of world. It is our duty to equip our children with the light of knowledge and education to brighten the future of the country and poverty alleviation. Dr Tanvir Ali said that said that technical and professional education was the need of the hour in order to meet the challenges of the modern era. Dr Athar Jaeved said that the only 38 percent girls in rural areas are attending the school We have to raise the aearness among the people.
