Renowned religious scholar Maulana Tariq Jamil on Monday urged the nation to develop and promote truthfulness, forgiveness, tolerance, honesty, respects for others, high ethical values and to iron out differences in line with teachings of Quran and Sunnah.

Renowned religious scholar Maulana Tariq Jamil on Monday urged the nation to develop and promote truthfulness, forgiveness, tolerance, honesty, respects for others, high ethical values and to iron out differences in line with teachings of Quran and Sunnah. He addressed at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad's Iqbal Auditorium at a public lecture presided over by UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan. The lecture was arranged by Senior Tutor Office. Addressing on the occasion, Maulana Tariq Jamil stressed upon the need to setting aside differences being made on the name of sect, race, politics and bilingual division etc. While terming lies a death, he said that telling lies had become a common practice in our society which is not only aggravating our social problems but also added up to our sins. He lamented that instead of following Quran and Sunnah, worship of wealth, power, respects and money had taken roots in the society and we had minimized tawakul on Allah Subhanhotallah. He urged the students to give due respects to their parents, relatives, and teachers. He showed his concern that despite obtaining higher degrees, many people are unaware even with the basic knowledge of Islam. He said it is not only the fault of teachers but also of the students. He also criticized the educational system for unskilled manpower. He showed his concern that medical was a sacred profession which had turned a business. He said that anger, and miser are the weapon of Satan so be soft weapons, nicefull, and helpful for others. Talking about brotherhood, he called for flourishing the culture of love and brotherhood in the society right from the homes, offices and other places. He said that life of last and final prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) is the practical example of holy Quran and give us complete guideline in every sphere of life. He added that the unity and the care for others as per line with Quran and Serat-un-Nabi will help the address the different issues facing the Muslim Ummah. He urged the Muslims to be unified and repent for their sins. If we follow in the footprint of last and final messenger Hazarat Muhammad ( Peace Be Upon Him), we will able to get respect and Nijat at the Day of Judgment and in the world. He said that Allah Subhanhotallah has showered tremendous blessings upon us. We should always concentrate about attaining the goal of getting success in the life after death that would last forever. He said that by adopting the real sense of Quran and following the sayings of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), the said objective can be achieved easily.
