City Traffic Officer (CTO) Faisalabad, Arif Shahbaz Wazir has urged the citizens to follow the traffic rules in order to avoid road accidents that claim many lives everyday.

City Traffic Officer (CTO) Faisalabad, Arif Shahbaz Wazir has urged the citizens to follow the traffic rules in order to avoid road accidents that claim many lives everyday. He addressed the stage play on “Warden Kahani” at University of Agriculture, Faisalabad (UAF). The play was arranged by Senior Tutor Office, UAF and Warden Police. UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan was the chief guest while SSP operation Irfanullah and Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vice President Zia Alam were the guests of honor. The CTO said that many people were used to ignore traffic rules which results in accidents. He further said the traffic police will take all measures to improve the flow of the traffic and loss of precious lives. He advised observation of speed limits, using indicators while taking turns, fastening of seat belt. He praised the service of the warden to maintain the traffic in the extreme weather. UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan said that we should respect the right of way of the other people. He said that the roads are full of traffic and many people are used to drive roughly. He stressed upon the need to the follow the laws. He stressed upon need not to use mobile phones while driving and not to frequently change the lanes. He said that the university was used to organize the seminars, public lectures, etc on the traffic in order to create the awareness among the people that will help save the precious lives. SSP operation Irfanullah said that traffic sense was the one of the basics for which stepped up efforts were needed to raise the awareness among the people. Senior Tutor Dr Athar Mehmood and Dr Ashar Mehfooz also spoke on the occasion. The play was revolving around the life of the committed warden who was martyred in a road accident during his duty hours due to the negligence of a lady.
