University of Agriculture Faisalabad Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Asif Tanveer has called for promoting the culture of hardworking, faith, honesty and discipline in lives as per vision of father of the ation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah

Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali visited Paras Campus and inspected the facilities. All necessary arrangements have been made to use the facility if needed. The Deputy Commissioner reviewed the facilities for the patients. Principal UAF Commuity College Dr Anjum Zia, Principal Officer Public Relations and Publication Department UAF Dr Muhammad Jalal Arif, Additional Deputy Commissioner General Omar Maqbool, Assistant Commissioner City Syed Ayub Bukhari, CEOs Health Dr. Mushtaq, Ali Ahmed, Civil Defense Officer Rana Muhammad Abbas and other notables also attended. Talking to media, Deputy Commoner said that 51 patients of Corona have lost their lives in the second wave of Covid from September 1. He said that more than 200 patients were undergoing treatment in different hospitals of Faisalabad while rest of suspended patients are quarantined in their houses. He said that as many as 197 points have been sealed for violating SOPs, including marriage halls, food points, and restaurants etc. He said that strict action would be taken against those who do not wear face masks in public places. The district administration is also distributing face masks among the citizens to create a sense of responsibility. The Deputy Commissioner has urged the citizens to take precautionary measures in view of the second wave of Corona. He urged the management of wedding halls, shopping malls, restaurants, fast food points to implement Corona SOPs. The SOPs violators will face the music, he warned Principal Campus Dr. Anjum Zia said that the UAF was ensuring the all SOPs of Covid to safe the precious lives. He urged the public to follow the SOPs so that we can deal with the pandemic effectively. He lauded the efforts being taken on the part of the government to take the measures. Dr. Muhammad Jalal Arif, Principal Officer, Department of Public Relations and Publications, University of Agriculture, said that the UAF stands shoulder to shoulder with the government in this difficult time. Even in the first wave of COVID, the University had handed over all its PARS hostels to the district government so that the quarantine measures could be carried out in an efficient manner. He appreciated the COVID dealing management of Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali and said that Faisalabad has played an exemplary role covid management in the 36 districts of the province. He hoped that all resources would be made to ensure SOPs in Faisalabad to curb the possible second wave of corona. He said that the UAF was using all possible online teaching tools for the teaching and research activities in this possible time of the Covid.
