As many as 7143 students of the University of Agriculture Faisalabad got the laptop on Saturday under the Prime Minister Laptop Scheme. The distribution ceremony was chaired by MNA Tallal Ch while University of Agriculture Faisalabad Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan, , HEC Director General IT Dr Anwaar-ul-Hassan and UAF Director Financial Assistance Dr Hafeez Sadaqat also spoke on the occasion. Tallal Ch said that the government was making all-out efforts to provide the facilities for the people. He said that changes don’t come from the slogans. It is the hard work which brings the changes in one’s live. He said that the government had recruited one lakh students purely on merit. He also said that the load shedding will end by 2018. He said that peace is being maintained in the country . He said that China investment worth 40 billion dollar that is the way towards the development. Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan said that without the technology, we can’t make the development. He urged the students to get benefit from the technology. He said that massive open online courses (MOOCs) were playing an important role in the modern era. He said that the UAF students can also take a course on MOOCs as elective. For which our students should also get the benefit. He said that the bandwidth in the campus had touched Dr Anwaar said that we are introducing the smart and safe campus project in various universities including UAF in which wifi would be available for the students and surveillance cameras would be installed to ensure the security measures and to avoid untoward incidence.
