The University of Agriculture Faisalabad has established Molecular Care, the state-of-the-art diagnoses centre, providing test facilities to people relating to different diseases including hepatics, diabetics, cancer, dengue, aids and thyroid etc.

The University of Agriculture Faisalabad has established Molecular Care, the state-of-the-art diagnoses centre, providing test facilities to people relating to different diseases including hepatics, diabetics, cancer, dengue, aids and thyroid etc. UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan on Saturday addressed the launching seminar of Molecular Care established by Dept. of Biochemistry, University of Agriculture Faisalabad. He said the centre would also focusing on different elements including human molecular diagnostics, animal molecular diagnostics, molecular research solutions, bioinformatics including genomic/proteomic data analysis, software/database development, and hand on trainings. He said that human molecular diagnostics will provide 75 PCR, real-time PCR and ELISA based tests with collection center at Health Center, Zero Point, UAF. The care centre is also giving the offering research facilities in DNA/RNA/protein isolation, purification, gene cloning, gene expression, PCR, RT-PCR, gel electrophoresis etc. Prof Dr Alfreed Zafar, Principal Punjab Medical College said that the Molecular Care would help address the issue of the people to serve the mankind. He stressed upon the need to develop a platform of scientists in Faisalabad to work on issues of the common man especially farming community. The time will come when the technology will overtake the skills. He said the time had the come when the development is measured in term of technological advancement. He added that the country has blessed with the tremendous talent and has emerged as atomic power. He called for honing the innovative ideas of the masses to face up to the challenges of the modern era. He said in the modern era, there is the war of technology rather than weapons. University of Faisalabad Director Research Dr Abdul Haque said that inflectional diseases is the cause of 63 percent deaths in children and annually 17 million people die from these diseases. Dean Faculty of Sciences Prof Dr Muhammad Javed stressed upon the need to step up efforts to address the problems of the mankind at large level. He urged the researches to come up with the viable solution. Chairman Bio Chemistry Dr Asghar Bajwa said that all out efforts were made in term of trailing the research and the academia to increase the capacity of the people. He said that the centre is the step to address the problem of the problems and conduct the tangible researches Prof Dr Amir Jameel said Molecular diagnostics has been emerged as a revolutionizing tool in healthcare with advancements in molecular biology. Continuous innovation in molecular diagnostics helps providing critical insights in medical care, leading to the development of personalized medicine.
