The launching ceremony of University of Agriculture Faisalabad students� magazine Kisht-e-Nau new edition was held at the New Senate Hall.

The launching ceremony of University of Agriculture Faisalabad students� magazine Kisht-e-Nau new edition was held at the New Senate Hall. Addressing on the occasion, UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan said that archives corner of Kisht-e Nau will be set up at the Main Library, UAF. He said that the UAF was converting to it Old Campus into museum to preserve its history. He said that there is the need to promote the literary activities in the students to face up to the challenges of the era. He said that 45 documents of UAF belonging to its history since 1906 are kept in British museum that is honor for us. He said that the Punjab Chair is being set up at the campus to conduct the researches on the saints poets of the Punjab. Renowned educationist and poet Dr Riaz Majeed stressed upon the need to establish the Lyallpur Chair to conduct the research work and preserved the history of the city. He urged the young generation to spare their some time to understand the saints poets poetry and literature. Former civil servant and poet Afsar Sajid said that quality of students magazine speaks the volume of hard work done on the part of the students. He called for more promoting the activities. Renowned poets Nusrat Siddique, Anjum Salemi, Faisalabad Art Council Resident Director Tariq Jave, Magazine Convener Dr Tahir Siddique, CAS Director Communication Syed Qamar-ud-Din Bukhari, Chief Editor Muhammad Irfan Shaukat and other notables also spoke on the occasion
