The University of Agriculture Faisalabad's cricket team VC11 on Sunday defeated the Cricket Team DCO 11 by 30 runs at a friendly match at Varsity Cricket Ground . UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan, DCO Noorul Amin Mengal, cricket star Saeed Ajmal, Seluck University Turkey Vice President Prof Dr M Musa Ozcan and other notables were present on the occasion. DCO 11 won the toss and invited the UAF team to play first. On which, VC 11 secured 76 runs in the six-over match. Whereas, DCO 11 could make 46 runs. UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan while congratulating President VC 11 Dr Ashar Mehfooz announced Rs 1 lakh for the victorious team. He said that university was making all-out efforts to promote sports activities at the campus. He said that it was the great honor for us that the in the past, Olympic winner hockey team was get prepared on the grounds of the university. He said that the university was also used to hold international sports event including international handball; and International tent and pegging. DCO Noorul Amin Mengal said that the district administration was providing assistance to UAF in the construction of tent pegging and horse riding school. He stressed upon the youth to build the sportsman spirit to face up to the challenge of the 21st century. He said that Punjab government was determined to promote the sports culture in the province
