Chinese Cultural Counselor, Embassy of China, Islamabad ,Zheng Guojin has said that the education and culture are the most important that can change the world. He was talking to the gathering of Chinese performances held at jam-packed auditorium of the University of Agriculture Faisalabad. UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan, Counsel General Chinese Consulate Lahore Yu Bo Ren, Chinese Consulate Lahore Counsel Du Genqi, NUML CI Dean Zhang Dao Jiang, Prof Dr Yang Zhijiang, Chinese Dean, Confucius Centre, University of Agriculture Faisalabad and others attended the event. The show is aimed at understanding the culture and deepening people-to-people contact in which a group of acrobats from China presented a thrilling performance including songs, dances, art, cultural music and dances in front of tens of the hundreds of the people. The event was arranged by Confucius Institute, the Chinese Cultural Centre, set up at UAF in collaboration with the Xinjiang Agricultural University (XAU), China. Prof Dr Yang Zhijiang, said that our friendship is deeper than the sea and higher than Himalayas and sweeter than honey and people of both countries have close heartiest feelings for each other and no one can measure the bilateral relations of two friendly countries. We are enjoying time-tested bilateral ties based on brotherhood. He said that ties are based on the bases of mutual respect and prosperity. He was of the view that China gave the great honor of the Pak China friendship and recognizes Pakistanis as their brothers. He said that such event bring the people of the both countries more closer and make the ties more strengthen. He said that Pakistan China Economic Corridor would bring the prosperity in the region. He said China was offering 250 Chinese scholarships to the Pakistani students every year. UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan said that economic corridor will transform the dimension of the bilateral ties . The cooperation under the CPEC in energy, transport and infrastructure projects will transform Pakistan's economy. He said that cultural exchanges are vital to learn from each other experiences. He said that Chinese cultural centre Confucius Centre (CI) had been established at the UAF that will help in further understanding the culture and experiences of Chinese . under the CI UAF, Chinese language, cultural and cooking courses were being offered. He said Chinese universities were proving their mettle globally and rubbing shoulder with USA universities. He said that UAF believe in knowledge diversification and 20 UAF faculty members had completed their PhDs from China and several are perusing their degrees in China. He said that the UAF was setting up Punjab Bio Energy Institute in collaboration with china that would promote the bio energy in the country
