The sacrifices and struggle of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) teaches us a lesson not to bow before cruelty and proved that nothing is more important than the dignity and honour of Islam. This was said by former vice chancellor, Mohi-ud-Din Islamic University AJK Muhammad Ishaq Qureshi at the seminar at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad. He said that Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) rejected tyranny and coercion and upheld the principles of truth. The martyrs remain alive always, he said, adding that if the martyred person gives us a chance to live, he would prefer to be martyred again. He said the teaching guides us rise above personal interests and to stand up for upholding the truth. He also stressed upon the need to iron out difference to emerge united on a single platform. He urged the people to follow the teaching and philosophy of Islam in order to prove their mettle in the world and to success at the Day of Judgment. He stressed the need to only bow before Allah Almighty. A person, who trusts in Allah and devotes his live for the upholding of Islam, find the fillah in the world and afterward. He said that it was our religious duty to work for the Shariat. He said that following in the footsteps of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA), we can eliminate the menace of cruelty, extremism and intolerance from the society. He said that sacrifices of the Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A), his family members and companions for protection of the principles of Islam are guiding light for us. Senior Tutor Dr Ather Javed and Dr Tahir Siddique also spoke on the occasion.
