The former Vice Chancellor, University of Agriculture Faisalabad and renowned entomologist, Prof Dr Muhammad Rafiq Khan has passed away on Sunday.

The former Vice Chancellor, University of Agriculture Faisalabad and renowned entomologist, Prof Dr Muhammad Rafiq Khan has passed away on Sunday. His funeral prayer was offered at playground of Govt. Technical High School D-Ground, Peoples Colony in which a large number of the people belonging to education and research areas had participated. The legend has served the university as Vice Chancellor from June 1991 to November 1995. His Qul will be held at 8:00 am tomorrow at Jamia Mosque of Government Technical High School, D-Ground. He has made marvelous contribution to the education and research and address the issue of agriculture sector. He has also served as Dean Faculty of Agriculture, Director Students' Affairs and Chairman Department of Entomology. The UAF will remain closed on Monday due to the death of the former vice chancellor.
