Inaugural session of three-day training workshop on advanced chemical techniques in natural and applied sciences was held in new senate Hall on Thursday morning

The youth must be equipped with quality education in order to compete with the rest of the world and to fight the challenges of modern era. This was said by University of Agriculture Faisalabad Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan while addressing the inaugural session of three-day training workshop on advanced chemical techniques in natural and applied sciences here in new senate on Thursday morning. He said the workshop would lay a vibrant platform to explore new avenues in a range of chemical branches i.e. nanoscience, environmental science, material science, analytical chemistry, applied chemistry and chemical profiling of materials. Dr Iqrar said that the workshop would cover the major issues in analytical techniques, instrumental handling, and introduction of advanced research areas. He said that the UAF management was strong and firm believer of the fact that quality education provides the pathway for solving the problems of the mankind. He urged the participants to learn as much they can and earn good name in their domains. Earlier, Dr Haq Nawaz Bhati said department was striving hard to putting our weight in attaining excellence ranking for the university. We have more than 800 students and highly qualified faculty members. We are working on Organic Solar and Nano chemistry. He said that authentication of scientific work need facts and figures and those are not possible without characterization by relative and specific analytical techniques. He hoped that workshop would certainly pave a long way in sharpening the skills of the participants.
