Three-day Indigenous On-campus Training (IOT) at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad has concluded.

Three-day Indigenous On-campus Training (IOT) at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad has concluded. The training was arranged by Office of Research, Innovations and Commercialization (ORIC), UAF in collaboration with Higher Education Commission. The second phase of training was aimed at enhancing capacity of the Grade 1 to 16 employees for equipping them with modern tools of effective working. The participants were addressed by Chairman Plant Breeding and Genetics Prof Dr Abdus Salam, Director ORIC Prof Dr Asif Ali, Treasurer Umar Saeed, Director Academics Dr Ghulam Murtaza; Director Internal Audit Rana Kahlid Mahmood, former PARB member Dr Adbul Rasheed, Psychologistn Dr Nosaba Amjad;, Chief Executive Officer Niha International Dr Nadeem Tariq, Human Resource Expert Salman Mushtaq and IT expert Muhammad Owais. Addressing on the occasion, Prof Dr Abdus Salam urged the participants to learn the modern trend that will make their working more effective. The new interventions including information technology and others are being used at the campus to serve the students, and other stakeholder. He said that agriculture is the backbone of our country and the UAF was taking all tangible steps to ensure food security. Prof Dr Asif Ali said that it is the second phase of IOT workshop as the step of HEC that would bring the tangible results in the capacity building of the people. He said that under the first phase, eight workshops were arranged for the UAF employees ranging from grade 16 and above. And now the second phase has been kicked off for the grade 1 to 16 employees. Treasurer Umar Saeed trained the participants about the modern tools to manage the financial issues. Rana Khalid Mehmood urged the participants to apply the knowledge attained though workshop at the workplace so that it will increase their capacity. Dr Ghulam Murtaza said that trained manpower is the guarantee of bright future and every possible steps si being taken to hone the skills of students.
