As many as 12,000 students appeared in the University of Agriculture Faisalabad's third admission test for under-graduate programmes academic year 2015-16 against 3000 seats

As many as 12,000 students appeared in the University of Agriculture Faisalabad's third admission test for under-graduate programmes academic year 2015-16 against 3000 seats. The University on Sunday conducted entry test to admit students in the UAF undergraduate programmes. The test centres were established in eleven cities including Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Lahore, Layyah, Multan, Rahimyar Khan, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Toba Tek Singh, Vehari and Bahawalppur. The tests were carried out under the new admission policy. The successful candidates of entry test can get the admission brochures available at the Habib Bank, UAF Branch and Offices of Principal sub campuses from July 31 and submit the forms by August 13 at their respective deans office and principal offices. Whereas, provisional merit list will be displayed on August 17. The university has also announced the schedule of interview/ test of Hafiz Quran, sports and extra curriculum activities against the reserved quota. UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad visited the different centres of entry test. He was flanked by Convener Admission Committee Prof Dr Hafiz Sadaqat, Progressive Farmer Manzoor Hussain, Deans Dr Muhammad Arshad and Dr Allah Buksh; DSA Dr Zafar Iqbal, Principal Officer PRP Prof Dr Jalal Arif, Hall Warden Dr Amjad Aulakh, Dr Munir Ahmad, Director Graduate Studies Dr Haq Nawaz; Deputy Registrars Muhammad Zubair and Syed Qamar-ud-Bukhari; Librarian Dr Muhamamd Aslam, and other notablesThe Vice Chancellor said that the UAF was making all-out efforts to ensure the quality education as it is only institution in the country ranked among the top 100 university of the globe. He said that the university was mandated to ensure the food security and rural development in the country. The university takes the students from four corners by design with the special focus on rural population. He said that for the first time, the test is conducted at the huge level. He said that current enrollment of the varsity had surpassed 21,000 students. Currently it is offering 165 degree programmes. For the first time in its history, the UAF has developed a comprehensive action plan for the next fifteen years to achieve a sustainable agriculture through its three cornerstones: learning, discovery and outreach. The VISION 2030 is a SWOT based document focused on the future problems, demands and opportunities. It is worth mentioning here that the UAF has mapped out new admission policy and no admission for the under graduate will be made without admission test.
