He chairing deans' directors committee held at Syndicate Room. He said that the promotion of sports activities is necessary to develop a healthy society. He said that the country was enriched with talent. There is need to tap the potential. He also lauded the steps being taken on the part of government to promote the sports activities. Talking about the UAF, he also said university was making special arrangements to flourish the sports at the campus. He said that in the mid semester, sports gala will be kicked off among the different faculties and hostels. He also directed the officials concerned to take every possible in a bid to capture the interests of the students in the sports that will make them more active. It will also help face the different challenges by developing the sportsman spirit among them. He said ten trained coaches of the different games would be recruited to train the students. He also announced cash prizes for the winners of the different games. The meeting also reviewed the admission test arrangement. The Vice Chancellor directed the staff to ensure flawless arrangement for the third entre test for undergraduate classes to be conducted on July 26 in which more than 6200 students will appear. The test centres are established in eleven cities including Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Lahore, Layyah, Multan, Rahimyar Khan, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Toba Tek Singh, Vehari and Bahawalppur. The tests are being carried out under the new admission policy.
