The University of Agriculture Faisalabad has become Champion of the All Pakistan Inter-varsity Rovering Championship 2014-15 for the ninth time out of total ten times.

The University of Agriculture Faisalabad has become Champion of the All Pakistan Inter-varsity Rovering Championship 2014-15 for the ninth time out of total ten times. This year, teams from 17 universities across the country participated. In the championship, BZU got the second position while the GCUL got the third position. The championship first time was kicked off in 2003 as an initiative of Higher Education Commission. The championship comprises different segments including A group photo of UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan with the winning UAF team of All Pakistan Inter-varsity Rovering Championship 2014-15 Hiking, Camping, Knots & Lashing, Cooking, Pioneering, Campfire, First Aid ,Quiz and Trekking etc. All Pakistan Rovering Intervarsity Championship 2015 was held at The University of Poonch, Rawlakot, AJK. UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan in a meeting with the scout congratulated Agrivarsity Scouts Group for such a marvelous achievement. He said the UAF students and scouts are committed to working for humanity especially at the time of disasters such as floods. He said that the UAF was making all out efforts to flourish the culture of sports in the varsity. He stressed upon the need to promote the sportsman spirit among the youth in order to excel in every sphere of life. Chairman Sport Board Prof Dr Ahsan Ul Haq said that tangible steps are being taken to flourish the God-given qualities of the students. Dr. Ahmad Sattar Khan (President Rovering Team), Rovering Team Vice President Dr. Aamir Shahzad, Captain Muhammad Aqeel and others were also present on the occasion
