The University of Agriculture Faisalabad has set up 36 residential units for the teaching and supporting staff at its Post Graduate Agriculture Research Station (PARS) situated at Jhang Road in order to provide them modern accommodation facilities at their workplace

FAISALABAD May 20: The University of Agriculture Faisalabad has set up 36 residential units for the teaching and supporting staff at its Post Graduate Agriculture Research Station (PARS) situated at Jhang Road in order to provide them modern accommodation facilities at their workplace. The housing units were inaugurated by UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan flanked with Principal Community College Dr Ijaz Ahmad. He said that the university was making all out efforts to upgrade its infrastructure keeping in view the increasing enrollment and demand of students and academic community. He said that the state-of-the-art community college had been set up at the PARS to provide the quality education to the dwellers at their door step. ' He said that under the college, the degree of FSc (Pre Agriculture) was revived that had been stalled 35 years ago. He said PARS campus was housing five boys' hostels to provide state-of-the-art residential facilities to the students. He also announced establishing girls' hostel for the students of FSc Pre Agriculture. He said that University takes the students on the quota basis by design with the special focus on the rural population. He said that the UAF was branded for the uplift of the agriculture sector and to ensure the food security in the region. Dr Ijaz Ahmad said that modern lab equipment worth 1.5 million had been purchased for the PARS. He said that they were producing dedicated human resources as the catalyst of change for the agriculture and rural development
