The University of Agriculture Faisalabad on Monday opened a three-day inter-hostels sports gala for women.

The University of Agriculture Faisalabad on Monday opened a three-day inter-hostels sports gala for women. Chief Hall Warden Prof Dr Muhammad Amjad Aulakh flanked by Principal Officer Sports Dr Ahsan-ul-Haq inaugurated the sports gala while female hall warden Dr Bushra Sadia and sports in-charge Asma Shehzadi also spoke on the occasion. The gala is aimed at promotion activities among the students. Prof Dr Amjad Aulakh said that besides the education and research, the UAF was making all-out efforts to flourish the culture of sports in the young generation. He said that with the advent of the telecommunication and the information technology, the sports culture is declining in the youth. Dr Ahsan-ul-Haq said that the university was used to hold many national and international sport events including basketball, tent pegging, cricket, etc. Dr Bushra Sadia said that the inter-hostels sports promotes healthy activities in the students. She said that last year, we gave the training of cycling to women students. Now they can move to their laborites easily. Asma Shehzada said that we are providing the coaching as par with international standards in the different games to the students.
