The University of Agriculture Faisalabad on Friday remained a hub of literature and art activities under its 3rd Lyallpur Art and Literature Festival which brought a variety of colorful programmes and contests.

The University of Agriculture Faisalabad on Friday remained a hub of literature and art activities under its 3rd Lyallpur Art and Literature Festival which brought a variety of colorful programmes and contests. In the Bilingual Declamation, team trophy was won by Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan. In the English Bilingual Declamation, Arwa Anwar from King Edward Medical University clinched the first position whereas Aleena from Punjab Medical College and Ali Hassan from BZU stood second and third respectively. In the Urdu Bilingual Declamation, Adnan Ali from GC University Lahore secured first position and Kashif Zaman from the BZU got the second position. The festival arranged by the Office of Senior Tutor, UAF featured Qiraat & Naat Competition, Model United Nation (MUN) Parliamentary Contest, Folk Songs Competition, Painting Competition, Treasure Hunt , Folk Dance Competition, Bilingual Declamation , Punjabi Takra, Mushaira & Bait Bazi Competition, Quiz Competition, Drama Competition, Documentary Competition,On spot Product Photography Competition, On spot Portrait Photography Competition, Theme Dinner and Search & Click Photography Competition. The festival provides a platform to the students to refurbish their abilities by creating an atmosphere of competition . Talking to the participants of the Bilingual Declamation contests, UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan said that communication is an art that opens the world before. He said that it is imperative to develop good communication skills to fulfill your dreams. He stressed the need to learn the tools of effective communication to excel in every sphere of life. He said that it was the third Lyallpur Art and Literature festival that was initiated by Prof Dr Aslam Pervez (late). He hoped that next year, it would emerge the country biggest art and literature event.
