The Model United Nations; and Parliamentary Contests were opened under the ongoing Lyallpur Arts and Literature Festival at the UAF in which different issues of the globe and the country came under discussion by the students.

The Model United Nations; and Parliamentary Contests were opened under the ongoing Lyallpur Arts and Literature Festival at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) in which different issues of the globe and the country came under discussion by the students . The festival is arranged by the Office of Senior Tutor, UAF, in which students from 26 universities countrywide are participating. Under the Model United Nations and Parliamentary Contests, the issues relating to economic growth, poverty, food security, agriculture, peace, unemployment, world and domestic affairs etc are under the discussion by the students in the different sessions. The activity is meant to develop the leadership qualities among the students and to raise their awareness regarding different issues. The festival that will continue by April 3 is attracting a large number of art and literature lovers who thronged the varsity to have the delight of literary activities. The festival featured Qiraat & Naat Competition, Folk Songs Competition, Painting Competition, Treasure Hunt , Folk Dance Competition, Bilingual Declamation , Punjabi Takra, Mushaira & Bait Bazi Competition, Quiz Competition, Drama Competition, Documentary Competition,On spot Product Photography Competition, On spot Portrait Photography Competition, Theme Dinner and Search & Click Photography Competition. It provides a platform to the students to refurbish their God Given abilities and showcase them before the audience. It is aimed at promoting the literacy activities in the country. April 2 programme includes Folk Songs Competition at 9:00 am; On spot Product Photography Competition at 9:00 am; On spot Portrait Photography Competition at 9:00 am ; Model United Nation (MUN) at9:00 pm; Painting Competition at 9:00 am; Treasure Hunt at 12:00pm;Folk Dance Competition at 2:00 pm; Parliamentary Contest at 4:00 pm; Drama Competition (Day 1) at 4:00 pm; Short Film/ Documentary Competition at 8:00 pm
