The University of Agriculture Faisalabad on Wednesday opened a three-day flower exhibition at its Faculty of Agriculture that attracted scores of flower lovers.

The University of Agriculture Faisalabad on Wednesday opened a three-day flower exhibition at its Faculty of Agriculture that attracted scores of flower lovers. The exhibited was inaugurated by Cambridge Professor Kevri Gill flanked with her father and Former Indian Chief Election Commissioner Dr Manohar Singh Gill; University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan; progressive farmer Manzoor Thakar and other notables. The flowers of spring which are blossoming with all beautiful shades mesmerized the nature lovers. The dozens of different flower arrangements displaying colours of creative ideas as a fitting celebration of the spring season are set up by university students and other organization. The exhibition is based on the different theme. The theme for the fresh flower is the "spring, hope and peace" whereas for rangoli, it is the "bleed green". Speaking to the participants, UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan said beautification of personalities blooms with education, religious values, dedication, honesty and their contribution towards the development of human beings and society. Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan said that flowers exhibition was meant to spread the message of peace, and harmony. He said the nature has blessed the people of our country with different beauties and talents. He added that there is need to explore these talents and use for beautification of personalities development. Former Indian Chief Election Commissioner Manohar Singh Gill Singh said that flowers were the symbol of love and peace. He said that the flower exhibition provides a chance to the people to enjoy the beauties of nature and such exhibitions must be arranged for the promotion of the harmony in the societies. He praised the UAF for taking the marvelous initiatives for the academia, research and outreach. He also congratulated the UAF for standing among the top 100 universities of the globe. Kevri Gill said flowers do not only add the beauty and fragrance but also compose environment and society healthy. She said that the education adds the fragrance to the lives of the people.
