Afghan Counselor Naqibullah Ibrahimi on Saturday said Pakistan and Afghanistan are enjoying good relations based on brotherhood, religion and similarities in culture that will be further strengthened to get benefit from each other and to fight common challenges.

Afghan Counselor Naqibullah Ibrahimi on Saturday said Pakistan and Afghanistan are enjoying good relations based on brotherhood, religion and similarities in culture that will be further strengthened to get benefit from each other and to fight common challenges. He was talking to the welcome function of Foreign Students at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad arranged by International Club. He said that the prosperity is directly linked to quality education as it plays a pivotal role in the uplift of any society. He stressed upon the students to leave no stone unturned to quench the thirst of education that is the guarantee of bright future. UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan said Pakistan scholarship programme for Afghan students will help the countries strengthen their bilateral ties and to get benefit from each other experiences as Pakistan and Afghanistan are the brother countries. He said no nation can progress without education. The university was taking all possible steps to provide the state-of-the-art facilities to the students. Terming the students an engine of development, he urged them to think out of box and come up with innovative ideas. He urged them to prepare them for the future leadership in every sphere of life. Afghan first secretary, Incharge of Cultural Affairs, Safar Amiri was also present on the occasion Afghan second secretary, Incharge of Cultural Affairs, Muhammad Shakir Qarar said that education was prerequisite for the socio-economic uplift of any countries. He said that as many as 7000 Afghan students were enrolled in Pakistan to get the education. He said the Government of Afghanistan has placed education at top priority as the educated youth will move the nations to the new heights of progress. Prof Dr Tahir Siddique and Prof Dr Muhammad Younus presented the welcome and vote of thanks. International Club President Hazratullah also spoke on the occasion.
