The Chinese Confucius Institute set up at UAF has started functioning that will help in further cementing the ties of mutual cooperation. It would enable the people of both countries come closer through language learning and knowing the culture of each other.

The Chinese Confucius Institute set up at UAF has started functioning that will help in further cementing the ties of mutual cooperation. It would enable the people of both countries come closer through language learning and knowing the culture of each other. It was echoed at the orientation of Chinese language in which Chinese delegate comprising Dr Yang Zhijiang and Li Yuxin gave the training about the basic of Chinese language. Dr Yang Zhijiang said that Confucius Institute will build a strong connection between both countries. He said the Centre would not only provide an opportunity to learn Chinese Language but also to know about their culture food, music and other interesting things about Chinese life. Li Yuxin said that the Chinese language was easy to learn. He said that the China has set up 475 Confucius Institutes and 851 Confucius Classrooms in 126 countries and regions with registered students amounting to 3.45 million. The number of Chinese language learners across the world soon hit 100 million, rising from fewer than 30 million ten years ago. Director External Linkages Prof Dr Ashfaq Ahmad Chatha said that it was third Confucius center established at the UAF after Islamabad and Karachi. He said that initially 32 students had been enrolled at the programme. He said that after the completion of the certification, all Chinese universities are opened for admission. He said that the first class will commence on 15 of January. He said the CIUAF would be a firm foundation in faculty and student exchange. Prof Dr Tanvir Ali, Director Extension and Principal Officer Confucius Institute said that both countries were enjoying excellent ties based on brotherhood. He said that the Institute will further boost the relations through people-to-people contact.
