Like other parts of the country, Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) was observed at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad with religious zeal and fervor on Sunday . The day dawned with special prayers for development, peace, unity and brotherhood in the Muslim Ummah at the Central Mosque, UAF. Religious scholar Israr Hussain presented a special address on duties of teachers in the light of Seerat-un-Nabi. UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan in a message said that the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is the only solution to all problems facing the people. He said the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is practical interpretation of the Holy Quran and the entire life is characterized by attributes of sympathy, mercifulness, generosity and bravery. Israr Hussain called for following in the footprints of the Last and Final Prophet (PBUH) that is the guarantee of a better life in this world and hereafter and urged to follow his teachings of tolerance, respect for humanity and care for others . He urged the Ummah and the Pakistani nation to forge unity as taught by the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) to fight the present day challenges. Dr Muhammad Younus, Principal Officer, Students Affairs also spoke on the occasion.
