ALL SET TO KICK OFF INTERNATIONAL HANDBALL TROPHY AT UAF.

International Handball Tournament will be kicked off at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad from December 3 to 7 in which more than 250 players from 10 countries are participating. The foreign teams mostly from SAARC countries include Bangladesh, Afghanistan, India, Nepal, Maldeve, Yemen, Pakistan and others. It is being arranged by Intentional Handball Federation and the UAF. Addressing the press conference at Student Teachers Centre Hall, UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan said that it was the largest and first-ever sports event of the city and all arrangements had been finalized in this regard. He added thirteen foreign teams from ten countries will take part in the tournament. He said that University wa having state-of-the-art Handball Stadium. He added that university was making all out efforts to promote the sports activities in the country. President Pakistan Handball Federation Haji Shafiq said that the city had produced many sports players of international level. He said that in the promotion of handball, the UAF had played a tremendous role. As most of the handball players are from the university. He said that junior team under 20 year old are participating in the event. Five matches would be arranged in day. He said that they are taking all measures to promote the sports. Chairman Sports Board Prof Dr Amjad Aulak was also present on the occasion
