The University of Agriculture Faisalabad student Sadaf Amin has been selected to represent the country in Telenor Youth Summit 2014 to be held in Oslo, Norway from December 7 in which participants from fourteen countries are taking part

The University of Agriculture Faisalabad student Sadaf Amin has been selected to represent the country in Telenor Youth Summit 2014 to be held in Oslo, Norway from December 7 in which participants from fourteen countries are taking part Only two Pakistani students had been selected for the said contest through a competition in which 800 entries were made meant to uplift of society with the usage of information and communication technologies . Sadaf Amin was selected through her idea titled ‘Mobile Agriculture Farming Control System’ respectively. She is a student of M.Sc (Hons) Agricultural Engineering. After three rounds of evaluation, top 11 Pakistani participants out of 800 were called in to present their ideas. Out of 11, two Pakistani students have been selected for the contest. It is a place for exchanging opinions on ways in which mobile communication technologies stimulate growth and change the society. Chairing the Dean Committee, UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan while appreciating the efforts of the student, said that the country was blessed with the tremendous talents. There is the need to provide them platform to exhibit their skills. He said the University is taking all out efforts to polish the skills of the students. He called for promoting the precision agriculture through ideas like the project of the student. He said that the PA would not only save the wastage of inputs but also increases the output manifold. He also announced the cash prize worth one lakh and presented the appreciation shield to her. He said that university another student Rabia Faridi had presented a speech at the elite forum of United Nations after Malala.
