The University of Agriculture Faisalabad has kicked off fourth Indigenous On-campus Training (IOT) to hone the management and administrative skills of the staff as an initiative of Higher Education Commission. It is arranged by the Office of Research Innovation Commercialization (ORIC), UAF. Addressing the inaugural session, Faculty of Agricultural Engineering and Technology Dean Prof Dr Allah Buksh said that efficient management of time was need of the hour to compete with the rest of world. He said that the time is precious and have a great value. If it is prope utilized, one makes success. He was of the view that technology advancement has changed the world and now we can perform a task within the limited time. We need to get the benefit from the modern technologies like information technology. ORIC Director Prof Dr Asif said that the world has become the global village because of the technology. He said that in the modern era, the Information and Communication Technology is playing an pivotal role in the development of any country. He said that learning is the continuous process. He called for shunning traditional way of thinking and to adopt innovative approaches in economic activities as par with international standards. He said the hands-on training had gained the immense importance across the globe because of challenges and development goals. He said more four training workshop to be held. Lecturer Ayesha Asghar talked about the ways of facing the different situation effectively. She stressed upon the need to avoid anger and the way to control it in order to maintain the healthy workin environment. She also briefed about the drafting and editing. Sarfraz Hamad said every industry is suffering from the lack of talented people. He called for the talent management system in any organization.
