Skilled manpower and proper management is the engine of progress and prosperity especially in the modern era when world is facing complex problems including poverty, malnutrition, low income, recession, decreasing natural resources and climate changes. This was stated by University of Agriculture Faisalabad Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan while talking to the participants of concluding session of Indigenous On-campus Training (IOT) arranged by the Office of Research Innovation Commercialization (ORIC), UAF as the initiatives of Higher Education Commission. He said that learning is the continuous process. If it stops, it leads towards to stagnation that is the main hurdle to bring positive changes. He said that the society is facing the issue of status quo as the people resist changing themselves. He hoped that training will boost up the efficiency and accuracy in the workings of the employees. ORIC Director Prof Dr Asif Ali said that it is the third training of administrative staff. He said that more five training workshop to be held. He said that in summer, trainings would be kicked off for the supporting and lower staff of the university in order to boost their abilities that will bring the tangible results. Earlier, Treasurer Umar Saeed said that university income has increased from its own resources manifold from the last five years. He said that all-out efforts are being taken to provide the state-of-the-art facilities to students and other campus community. He said that Internal Audit Directorate had been set up to make the financial management more transparent. Dr Asif Latif said that the world had become global villages because of the technological advancement. He stressed the need to learn the technology of the modern era. Deputy Registrar Qamar Bukhari; Deputy Directors ORIC Dr Abdul Rasheed and Dr Naveed; Assistant Director Sports Salma Masood; and ORIC Manger Farooq Hassan also spoke on the occasion.
