Innovation is the science of new ideas, creativity and value addition which results in new products, services and business models, contributing to enterprise’s growth. These innovative enterprises then explore new business horizons including novel consumer needs and devising better ways to their needs creating value for their shareholders. However, some aspiring entrepreneurs find it difficult to translate their business ideas into actual businesses, minor limitations can stagnate their growth and render their efforts fruitless. In order to facilitate these budding entrepreneurs and researchers a Business Incubation Center was established at The University of Agriculture, Faisalabad in 2009, to translate the research findings of scientists/researchers of the university into new products and technologies. Academia affiliated business incubators help in transferring technology from universities and create linkage of subject matter experts with the business community, a system for bringing technological advances and products to the market

The Business Incubation Center (BIC), University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF), is dedicated to fostering entrepreneurial mindset among students, with a special emphasis on agripreneurship to address challenges in Pakistan's agricultural sector. BIC UAF acts as a catalyst for innovation by providing mentorship, training, and funding opportunities to aspiring entrepreneurs. Notable initiatives include the Student Startup Business Center (SSBC), which empowers students to transform their ideas into impactful startups, and the development of the STZA Agri-Tech Park, designed to advance agricultural technologies. BIC UAF also supports faculty-led startups, facilitates access to funding programs like the Prime Minister National Innovation Award, and collaborates with national and international stakeholders to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Through these efforts, BIC UAF is nurturing a generation of innovators committed to sustainable development and economic growth.
