Prof. Dr. Jam Nazeer Ahmad has established state of the art well equipped laboratory, (Integrated Genomics, Cellular, Developmental and Biotechnology-IGCDB).The main focused research areas and interests of Prof. Dr. Jam's laboratory is on developing innovative insect pest management technologies/products/crops through an integrated approach of insect molecular biology, microbiology, biotechnology, nanotechnology, functional genomics, proteomics, gene expression regulation and genetic engineering. DNA finger prints/molecular characterizations of insects (insect pests, predators, parasitoids, entomopathogens, vector borne diseases etc.) pathogens, and toxins of agriculture, human and forensic significance. Molecular Plant Host interactions, Insecticide resistance and management. Development of entomopathogens based bio pesticides, Nano-pesticides, dsRNA and CRISPRE-Cas based novel insecticides.
