The University’s Professional Training and Skill Development Center (PTSDC) has kicked off a four-week workshop on Finance Administration Management and e-Governance.

FAISALABAD May 21: The awareness and information access to latest agricultural technologies, and experts’ recommendations especially in small farmers are crucial to tackle enormous agricultural challenges, ensure food security and boost up farmers income, said UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zulfiqar Ali. He was talking to the participants of the four-week workshop at University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF). The University’s Professional Training and Skill Development Center (PTSDC) has kicked off a four-week workshop on Finance Administration Management and e-Governance. The training was mandatory for the promotion of the officers of the Punjab Agriculture Department. A total of 43 officers from Agri information department and crop reporting wings are taking part at the training in the 28th batch of this program. UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zulfiqar Ali said the agriculture sector is backbone of our economy. The modern trends must be reached out among the farming community that will not only increase productivity but also raise the income of the farming community. He said that in the face of agri challenges of modern era, adaptation of latest agricultural practices are essential to meet the demands of ever-growing population. Director PTSDC Dr Waqas Wakil said that such training programs not only equip departmental officers with essential skills but also enable them to enhance working for ensuring national food security. He said that the center is currently offering 250 short courses with a particular focus on agriculture, livestock, and rural development. He shared that Continuing Education Department, now elevated as PTSDC has already provided training to over 11,000 individuals through its various short courses since its inception. Officials from the Agriculture Department also addressed on the occasion.
