FAISALABAD July 4: Fiji National University and the University of Agriculture Faisalabad will collaborate in agriculture and academia to get benefit from each other experiences. It was discussed during a meeting with UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zulfiqar Ali with the Fiji delegation led by FNU’s Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Technical and Vocational Education and Training and Head of Fiji’s National Productivity Organisation (NPO), Dr Isimeli Tagicakiverata, Discussions centered on advancing collaboration in agriculture, with a focus on smart technology, innovation, and technical and vocational education and training (TVET) and curriculum reforms for agricultural degree program . The Fiji delegation, which included Associate Dean TVET for the College of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (CAFF) Dr Ilisoni Leweniqila, CAFF Senior Instructor Laitia Ledun, and NPO Coordinator Sikeli Waqatairewa, Dr Isimeli Tagicakiverata said that the collaborations with Pakistani agricultural universities will help uplift the agriculture sector and address the common challenges. He said: “FNU is committed to strengthening partnerships and elevating the quality of TVET delivery across the Pacific. Prof Dr Zulfiqar Ali said that being the mother of all educational institution in the subcontinent, UAF was taking all possible measures to address the agrarian challenges.
