Driving Sustainability through International Standards Certifications in Textile, Agriculture and Food Sector

FAISALABAD July 17: To earn the forex, it is essential to promote international standards in textile, agriculture and food sector. It was said by the speakers at a training session titled, “Driving Sustainability through International Standards Certifications in Textile, Agriculture and Food Sector” organized by the Young Peace and Development Corps (YPDC), Office of the Senior Tutor, in collaboration with ETKO International, The Entrepreneurship Club (TEC) and Volunteers Leading Governance Forum (VLGF). The event was arranged on the directives of the University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zulfiqar Ali. Prof Dr Zulfiqar Ali called on CEO of ETKO International (Turkey) Mustafa Akyuz. Both leaders discussed future collaborations, knowledge sharing and the role of academic institutions in bridging the gap between academia and industry through innovation and training. UAF Senior Tutor Prof Dr Shoukat Ali said that this session is a platform to create awareness and build capacity among our students regarding sustainability standards. We aim to bridge the gap between academia and industry by offering platforms where real-world knowledge is shared. Fiber Textile Technology Chairman Dr Asad Farooq said that in today’s competitive global market, compliance with international sustainability standards is essential for the survival and growth of our textile industry. Dr Rao Sabir Sattar said that this collaboration is focused on preparing students for future challenges. He said that this is a great opportunity for them understanding international standards that will make them responsible professionals. Suchal Junaid ETKO, Dean Confucius Institute Dr Saddam Hussain, Dr Umair Gul from YPDC also attended the event.
