FAISALABAD Aug 5: The University of Agriculture Faisalabad on Tuesday took out a rally to mark Youm-i-Istehsal (Day of Exploitation) to protest India’s revocation of the special status of Kashmir in 2019. The rally was led by UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zulfiqar Ali and arranged by the Senior Tutor Office. The rally commenced from Admin Block and concluded at University clock tower. He said that nation stands united in support to the Kashmiris in their legitimate struggle for self-determination, reaffirmed by the international community in numerous United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions. He slammed oppression in Indian Held Kashmir which is clear violations of international laws. He urged the enhanced role of world to solve the issue. He said the Indian government on August 5, 2019, had revoked occupied Kashmir's special status by repealing Article 370 of the constitution. He urged the world to play its role to end the Indian terrorism in IHK. All Deans, Directors, Registrar, Treasurer and a large numbers of faculty members and students participated. Senior Tutor Dr Shoukat Ali said that India should stop denying ground realities, must come out of illusions and accept the fact that it cannot suppress the voice of Kashmiris.
