The University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) and Pak-Belgium Agri (Pvt.) Ltd. have signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

FAISALABAD Oct 3: The University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) and Pak-Belgium Agri (Pvt.) Ltd. have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance the cooperation in the fields of research and development initiatives, resource exchanges, information transfer and student training to promote innovation and advance research, education and community service, including the aforementioned subsectors. The area of research includes value addition in agricultural products and Agritech solutions; value addition in energy products, mechanization and precision agriculture and mitigation strategies against climate change. The MoU was duly signed by UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zulfiqar Ali and Director PBA Alain Linard. All deans and directors attended the meeting. According to MoU, both institutions will join hands in research collaboration (Hunting of Research Funding) in areas of mutual interest. They will cooperate in exchange of students, scientific information, patent filing, academic materials and publications etc. Both parties will engage students in collaborative projects, provide internship opportunities. It was agreed upon to cooperate on international seminars, workshops, conferences, educational program and other academia and research activities. In-charge, Punjab Bio-Energy Institute UAF Dr Muhammad Rizwan Tabassum and Ahsan Abdullah, Technical Support & Marketing Manager PBA are the focal persons whereas MoU was witnessed by Director External Linkages Dr Muhammad Tehseen Azhar and CEO Tariq Rasheed who also attended.
