FAISALABAD Oct 07: His Excellency Consul General of China Zhao Shiren on Tuesday reaffirmed support for University of Agriculture Faisalabad and pledged enhanced cooperation during his visit to Confucius Institute (CI), UAF. In a significant step towards strengthening the deep-rooted Pakistan-China partnership, His Excellency Zhao Shiren, Consul General of the People's Republic of China, paid a visit to UAF exhibition center and CI. The visit underscored a shared commitment to advancing bilateral ties in the key areas of education, science, and culture. His Excellency Zhao Shiren later met with the Vice Chancellor of UAF, Prof. Dr. Zulfiqar Ali, and he expressed his deep appreciation for the university's state-of-the-art facilities and remarkable progress in agricultural education and research, praising UAF's contributions to the nation's food security and agricultural development and discussed the enhancing ties in academia, research and exchange programs. During his visit to CI-UAF , the Consul General while talking to CI Local Dean Dr. Saddam Hussain focused on strengthening academic collaboration through research and student-faculty exchanges, promoting Chinese language and cultural initiatives, and facilitating the transfer of cutting-edge Chinese agricultural technology. This collaboration is poised to significantly benefit Pakistan's agricultural sector and economic growth, aligning with the broader strategic frameworks of CPEC and the Belt and Road Initiative.
