Entrepreneurship Competition 2025.

FAISALABAD Nov 12, 2025: Youth equipped with entrepreneurial vision and innovative skills are the backbone of a prosperous Pakistan. It was said by University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zulfiqar Ali while inaugurating Entrepreneurship Competition 2025 organized by Faculty of Sciences in collaboration with Business Incubation Center (BIC) at University’s Expo Center on Wednesday. The event brought together young innovators and startups to showcase their creative business ideas. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Zulfiqar Ali said that UAF is committed to shaping a generation that not only seeks jobs but creates them to contribute to a knowledge-based and sustainable economy. He said that universities must strengthen academia-industry linkages to nurture emerging startups and promote research-based business solutions to national challenges. He added that agriculture-based entrepreneurship and value-added agribusinesses hold massive potential to uplift the rural economy and enhance export opportunities. Dean Faculty of Sciences Dr Amer Jamil said that this competition aims to polish students’ creative abilities and build their confidence to launch successful startups. He added that providing young innovators with guidance and practical experience is vital for creating future business leaders and problem-solvers. Chairman Physics Department Dr Yasir Jamil said that strengthening entrepreneurship and promoting innovation different sectors is crucial for national progress. He urged students to keep exploring new avenues and scaling their creative venture. Director Office of Research Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) Prof Dr Rao Zahid Abbas noted that innovation, technology adoption and commercialization are key pillars to build a resilient and progressive Pakistan. Director BIC Dr Hammad Badar said that BIC is determined to transform students’ ideas into market-ready solutions by providing training, technical guidance and startup facilitation platforms. Dr Shoukat Ali from Chemistry Dept, Dr Salman Afsar from Computer Sciences and Zia ul Haq from Physics Department remarked that entrepreneurial education empowers youth with leadership, problem-solving and financial literacy skills needed to thrive in a competitive global economy. Dr Habib Aslam Gaba from FCCI and Waheed Khaliq Raamay Preseident Power Looms Association and Executive Member FCCI emphasized that collaboration between industry and universities will help students develop practical business ideas that meet market needs and support Pakistan’s economic growth.
