FAISALABAD Nov 13, 2025: The University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) in collaboration with the Punjab Agriculture Extension Department arranged a Farmer Day at Tandliawala as part of the initiative of nine-day Wheat Campaign 2025 to enhance crop productivity across the province. UAF students along with agricultural experts visited Tandliawala where they held a gathering of local farmers. Dean Faculty of Agriculture Dr Ghulam Murtaza attended the event on directives of UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zulfiqar Ali. The campaign aims to reach various regions of Punjab to create awareness among farmers about advanced cultivation methods for achieving higher wheat production this year. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Ghulam Murtaza highlighted the university’s commitment to empowering farmers through research-based solutions and practical training. He said that our goal is to strengthen the farming community by equipping them with the latest knowledge and innovations. He added that farmers can achieve maximum output with minimal resources by using modern techniques to ensure food security and economic stability. During the session, experts briefed the farmers on the importance of adopting modern agrarian technologies to increase wheat yield and reduce harmful pesticides. They also guided them on sustainable farming practices to ensure better soil health and higher profits. Director Farms Dr Muhammad Aslam, Director Outreach Dr Rashad Rasul, Dr Muhammad Sabir, Tandliawala Agriculture Extension Officer Khalid Mahmood and Assistant Commissioner Tandliawala Azka Sehar also attended the event.
