FAISALABAD Nov 26, 2025: Strengthened management is vital for steering the university toward future innovation. It was said by University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zulfiqar Ali while addressing a three-day training workshop for senior faculty. He said we all carry a pivotal responsibility in shaping the university’s future direction. He said that we must strengthen capabilities, improve ability to guide young scholars and cultivate an environment that supports innovation and quality academic output. He said that our role is important in building efficient administrative systems and fostering meaningful collaborations. He said we are responsible to broaden UAF’s global engagement and extension efforts so we can effectively respond to emerging agricultural challenges and drive sustainable progress. He called for enhanced research mentorship, securing competitive funding and producing high-impact publications. He highlighted the importance of effective administration, policy-making and quality assurance, alongside mentoring staff and promoting interdisciplinary collaboration. Director Research Dr Rao Zahid Abbas, while discussing about publication ethics, said that in today’s academic environment, responsible research publications and innovation was vital to address the different challenges.. He highlighted that our publications should not only advance knowledge but also create meaningful benefits for society, reflecting the true purpose of our academic contribution. Dr Shafia Tehseen Gul said that strengthening our skills in research guidance, administrative decision-making and collaborative planning is essential for academic growth. Dr Ghulam Murtaza, Dr Muhammad Sarfraz, NIAB Deputy Chief Scientist Dr Amjad Hameed, Dr Abdul Waheed, Dr Amer Jamil, Dr Saajjad Ur Rehman, Dr Rao Sabir Sattar and other notable spoke on the occasion.
